You know you're getting up there in years when someone who looks like an adult asks you to do their senior photos and you're all 'oh yeah I know your dad!' In all fairness, her dad is fairly well-known in our little community here... but still. I'm just feeling particularly aged, haha. This is actually the second time I've shot Julia, the first being for the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, where Julia and her friends pretended (we shot this in a parking lot! It's 100% staged!) to text and drive for the cover of this past fall's issue of the Bay Biz. You can check that & find out why out here. When planning her shoot, Julia said she absolutely wanted to shoot in Historic Downtown Panama City, her stomping grounds, and a part of town that feels like home. This made me pretty excited, since I spent nearly a decade living near Downtown, and miss it being less than a mile away from me now that I've moved to the beach side.
Julia shows up to her shoot with fabulous makeup and hair, and a car full of outfits. Which is basically every photographer's dream client. On top of that, Julia has the sweetest personality and a smile that just won't stop. The shots of her where she isn't smiling? Literally lasted the 1/400th of a second it took me to get that shot, then she immediately burst into that stunning smile. Gorgeous, yes, but this gal also has the brains! She'll be attending Georgia Tech next fall, and that school is lucky to have her!
Congratulations to you, Julia, and have fun on your next adventure. <3
